South Devon Referrals is a secondary referral centre (i.e. only sees cases referred by other veterinarians, see information from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons). We have facilities and expertise that allow us to undertake tests and treatment for conditions that may be difficult to manage in general practice.
We do everything possible to ensure your visit to South Devon Referrals will be a positive experience for you and your pet. Once you and your primary care vet have identified that your pet will benefit from referral, your vet will need to contact us.
You can find details of our location here.
We have a list of frequently asked questions here.
Please do not hesitate to contact us by email or phone if you have any further questions about your visit.
It is necessary that your primary care vet contacts us to give us consent to see you before we can make you an appointment. This is important because we liaise closely with your primary care vet for follow-up treatment, and it ensures that your pet’s case history is available so that there are no complications between treatments that may be given and any medication your pet may already be on. Online referral of cases is available for veterinary professionals.
